Happy New Years! And congratulations, you survived 2019.
Already, people are hailing the coming decade as the new “Roaring 20s” which has me a little excited.
According to History.com, the Roaring 20s was a time of:
a surging economy created an era of mass consumerism, as Jazz-Age flappers flouted Prohibition laws and the Harlem Renaissance redefined arts and culture.
As we open the new decade, let’s hear each other… roar.
JUDY GARLAND BIOPIC, A VISIT TO THE LOCAL POST OFFICE, AND AUDREY HEPBURN’S ICONIC GIVENCHY DRESS
Have you had a chance to see the new Judy Gardland biopic? I spent most of the time traveling during the holidays, but I can’t wait, especially considering Renee Zellweger is taking home all sorts of awards for her performance.
You know you’ve made it when you… have a post office named after you?
Doris Day’s former Beverly Hills home where the iconic singer and actress lived with husband Marty Melcher has been listed for sale for a cool $14.5 million dollars.
Speaking of expensive things, Audrey Hepburn’s Givenchy dress made famous in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s recently sold for a cool half-million dollars. .
That's all for now, folks!
